The dramatic events of the film take place in France. The main heroine of the film is Suzanne – a devoted wife of her husband, who is a doctor. The family life of Suzanne seems to be perfect from the first look. She has a good husband, two children, a beautiful house, material possessions and plenty of everything, one could dream about. But having been keeping a household for 15 years, she feels now, as if she has by some reasons lost a significant part of herself.  Suzanne, whose children are almost grown up to now, decides to continue her career of a physiotherapist. Her husband approves her decision and helps with fixing up an office. For that purpose he hires a contractor. When Susanne and Ivan become acquainted with each other, the sudden and unexpected passion arises between them. Neither social difference, nor the fact, that Susanne is married, could prevent both from this attraction. As the events are developing, the main heroine faces a big problem to be solved. She has to decide now, if she wants to stay with Ivan or with her family.
