“Harlem Aria” is a story of a boy called Anton (Gabriel Casseus) from one of the shady poor regions of New York. The boy, who is a gifted singer, dreams to become a real opera singer one day. Moreover Anton is a warm-hearted and pleasant person, but most of people tend to use his positive traits of character for their own purposes. The speech of Anton is very slow and his manners are slow either and all his friends make fun of him.

Working hard at the laundry, Anton obeys every chief’s word implicitly and suffers from it very often. The boy is exploited by drug dealer from his Harlem. In spite of all sufferings and humiliation, he strives to become a real singer and change his life entirely. Anton’s auntie strongly objects his desire to sing and asks her nephew to forget about opera singing.

In search of new life and popularity, Anton leaves his home and finds himself in Washington. Facing fraudster Wes turns out to be a tragedy for Anton. Defrauded, he is forced to become a beggar. Without a penny, the 28-years-old guy has to do nothing but plead for charity on the streets. Accidentally he meets Matthew (Christian Camargo), who earns for living by playing a piano. Soon Anton and Matthew become friends and start to earn money with their talents.
