The film “Mother” describes the story of the family and its two members: mother Hye-ja and her son Do-joon. The son of Hye-ja is old enough to be serious and independent, but to his shame he often behaves as a child.

In his 27 years old, Doo-joon is rather foolish and can’t take any decisions by himself. Being a sonny boy of his mother, Do-joon cannot do anything without her help: in difficult situations he lacks the strength and intellect to find the way out.

One day 27-year old “child” has followed the girl he liked. It was the first and the last time he saw her. Walking down the street the stranger girl disappeared all of a sudden in the darkness of the alley. Some time later Doo-joon found out, that the girl was killed. The boy was the only, who was charged with this murder.

Doo-joon’s mother was in a hurry to help her son. She knew it perfectly well: she was the only person, who could help him to escape the prison. Hye-ja tries to find the girl’s killer in order to dismiss a charge.

In this film the real love and support of the mother to her child is shown. For her son’s sake Hye-ja does her best, as probably every mother would do. Her desire to help Do-joon out of trouble is so strong, that she defies danger connected with a real murderer, who tries to track her son down.
