The main hero of the film is an Iraqi veteran, called James. Having returned home after his duties ended, James faces lots of sufferings, connected with his war past and his family life. Traumatic memories of the battles follow him even here at home, situated in a small town in West Texas. Firstly it is hard for him to reintegrate with his family and new style of life, which differs from the one, he got used to. That means a new battle for James, but mostly against himself. Secondly he can’t explain his wife Sara, his mother Martha and his old friend, what he feels exactly and what troubles him, as they have no idea, what he has gone through in Iraq and what his war past really means for James. Therefore his relatives often can’t understand his pain and sufferings and problems they cause. The main hero finds a new job, offered him by his Father-In-Law, but this kind of job doesn’t help him to get rid of the dramatic war experiences, but rather reminds of them…
Feeling absolutely lonely James soon finds a soul mate, who understands him and supports him in difficult situations. This is an army buddy, with whom James reconnects and who provides James with sympathy and camaraderie he needs badly.
The drama film by writer and director Ryan Piers Williams describes the moving story, connected with emotional trauma caused by war. The hero of the film has a difficult mission – to find the way out of it.
