The main hero of the film is White Mike. He is a former high school dropout, who succeeded in illegal business, connected with drugs. Mike lives a lucrative life, having lots of money and enjoys it to the full. And why not, if business is growing, kids are well cared and you have enough money to fulfill any of your dreams. But Mike has to lead a double life, when it comes to his childhood friend Molly. Surely she knows nothing about him and the sort of business he engaged in. And it is better for Molly to know nothing. The supplier of Mike, called Lionel, invites him further in the drug world of Manhattan. And everything goes well, and everybody is happy, up to the moment, when all falls to the ground all of a sudden.
The situation gets out of control, when Mike’s cousin is found brutally killed on a playground of East Harlem, and his close friend is accused of this crime and arrested, and a new drug, known as twelve, becomes one of the best recreational drugs…
The dramatic events of the film are based on the original novel “Twelve”, written by Nick McDonell. The film stars Chace Crawford in the role of a drug-dealer, Emma Roberts as his childhood friend and Curtis Jackson as his supplier Lionel.
