The film “The Perfect Game” directed by William Dear is a dramatic story of nine boys who wanted to play professional baseball. Without a penny in the pocket, the young fellows started their professional career in a small Mexican town.
The events of the film are based on real events, which took place in Monterrey (Mexico) in 1957. Despite of their poverty, the boys had a common dream and they strived to implement it. It was a strong desire to become professional baseball players and to win was their main virtue. Trained by the former baseball coach, the boys got the skills to play baseball perfectly.
With the basic skills and longing for triumph, the baseball players started to travel to the championship. The road to fame wasn’t so easy to the sportsmen, but they did their best to be in Little League Game. The desire of boys to find their place in life was very strong. Due to their persistence, courage and great skills the baseball players could reach the top.
Supported by the priest and the baseball coach, the boys had to cross soon the whole America to get in place where the championship took place.
So young and so talented, the young Mexicans managed to gain the highest price during the game and were accepted as the best team.
